The transition towards a more sustainable future requires informed, engaged and empowered young people. GreenEcho was created to strengthen young people’s understanding of environmental challenges while encouraging them to become active contributors to the green transition through participation, collaboration and community action.

Building on the experiences and methodologies developed through the NEETActive and SustiBridge projects, GreenEcho connects environmental sustainability with youth participation, showing how local actions can contribute to wider European priorities. Rather than focusing only on environmental awareness, the initiative encourages participants to explore practical ways of promoting sustainable lifestyles, responsible citizenship and community resilience.

Through interactive workshops, participants will exchange ideas, analyse real-life challenges and work together to identify solutions that can have a positive impact within their communities. The activities promote teamwork, critical thinking and shared responsibility, creating opportunities for young people to learn from one another while developing practical competences related to sustainability and civic engagement.

An important outcome of GreenEcho will be the development of a practical guide that gathers methodologies, experiences and recommendations emerging from the initiative. Designed for youth workers, educators and organisations, the guide will support the implementation of participatory environmental activities and encourage the replication of good practices in different local contexts.

By combining environmental education with active participation, GreenEcho contributes to building communities where young people are not only aware of sustainability challenges but are also equipped to become drivers of positive environmental and social change.
