Meaningful participation begins within communities. EchoSpaces is an initiative of the MVI 2026 Erasmus+ Structural Grant designed to create local spaces where young people can come together, exchange ideas and collaborate on the issues that matter most to their lives and communities.
Through interactive workshops and participatory activities, EchoSpaces encourages young people to explore topics such as democratic participation, social inclusion, digital citizenship and environmental sustainability in an open, supportive and collaborative environment. By promoting dialogue at the local level, the initiative strengthens the connection between European priorities and the everyday experiences of young people.
Using non-formal education methodologies, participants are encouraged to share their perspectives, learn from one another and work collectively to identify challenges and develop practical solutions. The workshops foster critical thinking, active listening and cooperation while creating opportunities for young people to build confidence and strengthen their role as active members of their communities.
A key outcome of the EchoSpaces initiative is the development of practical resources that support youth participation beyond the workshops themselves. By gathering experiences, methodologies and good practices, the initiative contributes to the creation of tools that can be used by youth organisations, educators and young people to promote dialogue, collaboration and civic engagement in different contexts.
As part of the broader ECHO framework, EchoSpaces reinforces MV International’s commitment to empowering young people through participation, learning and cooperation. By creating accessible spaces for dialogue and shared action, the initiative helps build stronger communities where every young voice has the opportunity to be heard and valued.
