Meaningful participation begins with meaningful dialogue. ECHO Dialogues is one of the flagship initiatives of the MVI 2026 Erasmus+ Structural Grant, creating opportunities for young people to exchange ideas, discuss shared challenges and actively contribute to shaping more inclusive, democratic and sustainable communities.
Through a series of Youth Assemblies organised across Europe, ECHO Dialogues brings together young people, youth organisations, policymakers and other stakeholders in an open and participatory environment. The initiative encourages participants to reflect on the issues that matter most to their communities while exploring practical solutions through collaboration, mutual learning and intercultural exchange.
Using non-formal education methods, facilitated discussions and participatory activities, ECHO Dialogues promotes active citizenship, democratic engagement and critical thinking. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences, express their perspectives and work together to develop ideas and recommendations that can contribute to youth participation processes at local, national and European levels.
Beyond individual events, ECHO Dialogues represents an ongoing commitment to placing young people at the centre of decision-making. By creating safe and inclusive spaces for dialogue, the initiative strengthens cooperation across the MV International network and reinforces the role of youth as active contributors to social change.
As part of the broader ECHO framework, ECHO Dialogues supports the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy by fostering participation, inclusion and civic engagement. Through dialogue, collaboration and shared responsibility, the initiative empowers young people to become informed citizens and active partners in building Europe’s future.
